Summer 2009

I am not the very best blogger and don't take pictures often so this is what I have for the last few months!! We started the summer with a memorial day breakfast at my parents with the whole family and ended the evening at the No Doubt concert. It is well known that I am in love with Gwen Stefani and Matt seems to be okay with that fact! We had a great time and it was a fabulous concert. In July we were able to spend time with Paula and Milt's kids. We spent some time at Temple Square and then headed to a Bee's game. We are hoping to hike Timp next weekend! I will do my best at getting some pics taken!

No longer a Cougar!!!

I am the OLDER woman in our marriage for about a month and a half so as of Matt's Birthday on the 2nd of May that has ended!! We had breakfast at Kneaders with my Family for Matt's birthday with all you can eat Cinnamon French Toast and Pancakes which he LOVES!! We also were able to see the new X-Men movie, Wolverine which prompted a weekend marathon of the previous three X-men movies!!! Hope you had a great day Babe!!

Max and Lola

Here are some updated pics of Max and Lola including one of Max wearing his muzzle after we trimmed his nails. He does not cope well with nail trimming, he starts to shake over his entire body and then can get quite mean! We had to drug him with Benedryl beforehand and he STILL put up a very good and strong fight!!! I think they are enjoying the warmer weather and being able to play outside again and most importantly being able to play in the grass!!! We finally got GRASS last week, yay!! I never thought we would be so excited for something like grass!!

February brought our newest nephew into our world, Oliver Ryan! He was born to Tami and Ryan on the 12th of February. That has increased our niece/nephew total to 23 between Matt and I!!! Below are pics of my parents along with Tami, Ry and baby Ollie, Julie, Jordy and baby Taylor and Jason and Em's twins, Hailey and Brinley. That same day Matt's parents came for our niece Diane's play, "Willie Wonka." She played Violet and did an excellent job.

Man's Best Friend

I got this email the other day and loved it. I think that it explains our dogs perfectly...
A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........
1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.
~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them..Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters~Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs!
